Intellectual Property

Helping clients manage and protect their primary asset.

Experts in IP Protection Law

Our attorneys work with clients in the areas of soft IP: copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and confidential information (though not patents). We help clients register, license, and protect their IP so they can effectively and efficiently use and protect it.

We help clients conduct IP audits to inventory client IP and identify the protections and uses in place which can be modified or improved to accomplish their goals. We also advise clients on how to fashion and implement an IP strategy that takes best advantage of the legal framework so they can maximize their protection, and increase the value of their IP.

We also assist clients with developing or reviewing non-compete and non-solicitation provisions, drafting or reviewing non-disclosure agreements, and with devising appropriate prevention and enforcement mechanisms including injunctive relief.

Trademarks

Assisting clients with obtaining, protecting and managing their trademark assets so they maintain their symbol of quality and value.

Copyrights

Helping clients recognize their copyrightable works, properly manage and protect those works, and navigate the rights and obligations associated with those rights both with other businesses, and with their employees and independent contractors.

Tradesecrets

Developing policies, advising on the use and storage of trade secret information, creating non-competes or non-solicitation agreements, and other methods of protecting a company’s most valuable asset.

What clients say about us

Aaron and the team are top notch. They are true experts at what they do but most importantly are communicative, responsive, and trustworthy. We've worked together on a couple specific projects, and we'll be sure to reach out in the future as business needs arise. Thanks for being a loyal partner!

My partner and I have worked with Doug for two years and cannot recommend him highly enough! It was so challenging to find a fair, competent business attorney. When we started working with Hackstaff & Snow I knew we found a team to hang onto.

We hired Mr. Atkinson to help resolve an issue with a General contractor. His team was able to resolve our issues and reach the outcome we had hoped for. The teams legal knowledge on the issues, and the laws that applied to it was impressive, all of which helped to apply the pressure needed to resolve the issue. My only regret was I didn't hire him to read my contracts before I started the work on our house.

Me and my husband worked directly with Bailey & Aaron over a real estate dispute, and I truly can’t put into words how amazing they were. Every time we spoke I was blown away at how friendly they both were (I feel like that’s hard to find in a lawyer), which made a huge difference during this really stressful situation we landed ourselves in. They helped us to a great resolution with our conflict and our experience couldn’t have been better! I would recommend them to anyone.

Everything was made easy, they took the stress off of us, and they always treated us so well.

We’ll be forever grateful that we found them!

I've been a client of Hackstaff & Snow for the past 13 years. They have helped with the formation of multiple entities and the ongoing management and reporting for those entities. The level of care and attention I receive from John Snow is top notch. I feel they are always available for any question, big or small. I'm very happy with my choice to go with Hackstaff & Snow and I recommend them to all my friends and peers.
