Cody Goings, Senior Associate Attorney

Cody Goings

Senior Associate Attorney

Biography

Cody is a civil litigator who represents businesses, families, and individuals in state and federal courts throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Before joining Snow Atkinson & Griess, he practiced at several nationally recognized firms, handling complex disputes for major carriers and businesses.

His practice spans a wide range of disputes. He has represented businesses large and small in franchise, breach of contract, and intellectual property matters; families in trust and probate disputes; and manufacturers in product liability suits. He also brings significant insurance experience to his work, having litigated and advised on coverage disputes and bad-faith claims for both carriers and businesses. That background gives clients an advantage in any case where insurance is in play, which is most of them.

Cody also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Paul A. Roetman, Presiding Judge of Alaska’s Second Judicial District (ret.), giving him an inside view of how judges evaluate cases. He has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025 and 2026.

Cody attended Regent Law School (cum laude). Before law school, Cody and his wife spent five years in Uganda with a non-governmental organization developing sustainable solutions to community poverty. Today he is a foster parent and enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters.
